BYU Idaho men’s choir to perform at church conference

A combined 360 voice men’s choir from Brigham Young University-Idaho will perform in the priesthood session of the 188th Annual General Conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Saturday, March 31.

The choir is comprised of the BYU-Idaho Men’s Choir, Collegiate Choir, Concert Choir, Vocal Union and other male students who auditioned to participate.

“It’s a great honor to be asked to sing in general conference,” said Randall Kempton, director of the combined choir. “We’re very humbled and excited to be able to participate in this event.”

The choir will be led by Paul Busselberg, who arranged the music the choir will be singing.

“I think those who listen to and watch priesthood session will be very proud of what our men from BYU-Idaho can do,” Kempton added.

The four daytime sessions of the General Conference will be broadcast on Local News 8 from 10 a.m. till noon and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, March 31 and April 1.
