Jackson Police arrest bomb threat suspect

Jackson Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a bomb threat to the Jackson Hole Middle School on March 13.

On Wednesday, detectives developed probable cause to arrest a juvenile student for “terroristic threats”, a violation of Wyoming statutes. The juvenile was being held pending a juvenile court appearance.

On March 13, the threat caused a two-hour delay to the start of the school day. A search of the school was carried out and the threat was resolved by members of the Jackson Police Department, Teton County Sheriff’s Office, and a bomb detection K-9 and handler from the Lander Police Department.

Detectives have been investigating the person suspected for making the threat since then.

No additional information about the suspect was released.
