Home Depot reopens after bomb threat

UPDATE 11:30 a.m. Officials report the store manager has decided to reopen the store.

“They did an internal and external review of the building to make sure there was no threat whatsoever. And then they left the decision in the hands of the manager to determine whether they would continue the evacuation of the building or whether they would reopen. After they determined there was no significant threat at the time the manager reopened the building and the employees went back inside,” says Holly Cook, Public Information Officer for IFPD.

Idaho Falls Police Department reports Home Depot at 2075 S Holmes Ave in Idaho Falls received a bomb threat phone call to the store’s phone line at 9:59 a.m.

The call came from an out of state number that has since been disconnected.

Officials said the store has been evacuated, and officers, a bomb quad and K9 unit are on scene to sweep the inside of the store.IFPD has searched the outside of the building and has blocked off the parking lot.

Once the sweep is finished, the store manager will make the final call as to when to reopen the store.
