Weitzel named to national board
Idaho Falls Parks and Recreation Director Greg Weitzel has been elected to a three-year term on the Board of Directors of the National Recreation and Park Association.
Mayor Rebecca Casper said Weitzel’s election should give him access to national-level practices that will benefit the city.
“Helping to chart the future of parks, recreation and conservation in America is a great privilege and responsibility, I’m looking forward to this opportunity to serve,” said Weitzel.
The NRPA Board is composed of up to 30 professionals from cities, corporations, industry suppliers, commercial businesses, volunteers and civic groups across the country.
