Wednesday marks Angie Dodge murder anniversary
Idaho Falls and Bonneville County Crimestoppers has renewed a plea for anyone with knowledge about the death of Angie Dodge to come forward.
The 18-year-old Idaho Falls girl was stabbed to death on June 13, 1996 at her apartment at 444 “I” Street in Idaho Falls.
A male DNA sample was found at the crime scene but has not been positively identified.
An Idaho Falls man was charged and sentenced to prison for the murder but was ordered released from prison when he demonstrated that DNA evidence at the scene could not be linked to him.
Experts have released a “phenotype” likeness, purported to depict what her killer may have looked like, based on DNA material.
Anyone with information about the case is encouraged to call the Idaho Cold Case Tip Line at 1-844-TIP-4040.
