Rainfall floods homes in Melody Ranch

Teton County, Wyoming crews are working to repair a ditch failure that caused a mudslide in the Glory View subdivision of Melody Ranch.

The flooding affected approximately six homes in the subdivision Monday afternoon.

Crews have cleared the initial blockage, but continuing rain is expected to continue to cause new problems.

Excavators are on the scene, working to divert water and mud, assist homeowners, and address the situation.

Jackson Hole Fire/EMS is also working to supply additional sandbags to the area.

Sandbags are available at the Teton County Road and Levee, 3190 Adams Canyon Drive, Jackson. Residents can also call 307-733-7190 with questions.

Among the agencies working on the flooding are the Teton County Sheriff’s Office, Teton County Road and Levee, Teton Conservation District, Lower Valley Energy, Grand Teton Property Management, and Westwood Curtis Excavators.
