One killed in crash on Hwy. 26 near Blackfoot

Idaho State Police report one person was killed Saturday afternoon in a crash on Highway 26 near Blackfoot.

Corey Beeson of North Dakota and Priscilla McCarty of Blackfoot were riding a motorcycle west on Highway 26, Rocio Perez of Blackfoot was driving a bus and was turning left onto the highway from North 500 West.

Beeson was not able to stop and hit the side of the bus.

Beeson was not wearing a helmet and was taken to Bingham Memorial Hospital where he died from his injuries. McCarty was airlifted to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical center, her condition is unknown.

Perez was wearing a seatbelt and was not seriously hurt in the accident.

Highway 26 was closed for about three hours as crews investigated and cleaned up the accident.
