Local church celebrating 100 years

Celebrating a century. The Roberts Community Church held their Centennial Celebration today.

It was a full house today. Current and past members reunited to celebrate a hundred years. They held normal service followed by a short program and a social. They say they’re excited about this milestone.

“To celebrate a hundred years as a church, I think tells us for one thing that the church has been doing something right in order to last and sustain for a hundred years. I think also it speaks to the community and the value the community puts on the local church,” says Pastor Steve Molsee.

“It’s been done through the sacrifice and the faithfulness of a lot of the people that went before us and we’re very grateful to them and we intend to keep on doing exactly that as long as we’re able to and as long as the Lord provides for us,” says Richard Gilchrest, and Elder at Roberts Community Church.

They are one of three churches in the city of Roberts. They say it was good to reunite with former members.
