Pocatello City Hall LED’s expected to save money

In a move that is expected to save Pocatello City Hall more than $1,500 annually, all 22 of the lights in the parking lot have been replaced with LED lights.

Building Official Lynn Transtrum said that they decided to make the change when they noticed several of the lights had burned out. Idaho Power offered them an incentive that covered roughly a third of the cost.

In addition to the money they saved with the incentive, the energy savings from the LED’s should allow the entire switch to pay for itself in just three years time.
