Small reactor project outlining construction and supply opportunities

The Idaho Department of Commerce and Idaho National Laboratory (INL) are hosting a virtual roundtable Thursday for state manufacturing and construction companies.

They are hoping to attract companies interested in participating in developing infrastructure for advanced and small modular reactors.

NuScale and Utah Associated Municipal Power Systems are preparing to build the nation’s first small modular reactor plant at INL. The team is working now to identify supply chain and construction companies that can meet development needs and opportunities.

The roundtable will feature NuScale Vice-President of Supply Chain Scott Bailey and Fluor Nuclear Power Construction Director Bryan Atkinson.
