Semi rollover sends one man to the hospital

A man from Shelley was rushed to a local hospital after his semi truck rolled over on Interstate 15 Friday afternoon.

Idaho State Police say the accident happened around 3:15 P.M., near exit 98, outside of Blackfoot.

“Mark Madsen, 51, of Shelley, Idaho, was driving a 2005 Freightliner southbound on Interstate 15 when a front tire blew and the vehicle went off the road and rolled. Madsen was extricated and transported via ground ambulance to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, in Idaho Falls.

The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.”
