Highway 26 closed due to crash East of Ririe
UPDATE: Friday, August 24, 2018:
U.S. Highway 26 is back open after a fiery crash closed it down Thursday night. Idaho State Police is also providing more information in what happened during the crash.
49-year-old Lisa Fowler of Jackson was driving East on US26, East of Ririe, when she drifted over the center line. Her car struck a BMW, which was driven by Donkguo Zhou, age 44 of Richmond, British Columbia caught on fire after the crash.
All occupants were able to exit the vehicle.
Fowler and one of Zhou’s passengers were taken by ground ambulance to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
Two other passengers in Zhou’s vehicle were taken by air ambulance, also to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

Authorities are investigating an accident near Ririe Thursday night.
The accident happened on Highway 26 East of Ririe around 7:30 P.M.
The attached picture is from an Idaho Department of Transportation Camera and shows the crash.
Two air ambulances were dispatched to the scene.
