Local farm celebrating fall festivities
At Swore Farms in Pocatello fall weather is welcome.
Wendy and Michael Swore have owned and operated the farm for nearly 20 years and have been celebrating the fall season for 18 of them.
With more than three miles of corn mazes, 20,000 pumpkins ranging in size, and hayrides, there are lots of festive events to enjoy.
Some young pumpkin pickers were out with their family this morning, looking for the biggest pumpkins they could find.
After deciding on two with a combined weight of over 100 pounds, Saddie, one of the young girls, told me she picked the largest one so that her uncle couldn’t carry it.
The farm officially opened for the season yesterday and while they have normal hours, they remain “soft open” most of the time since people just show up anyway.
