Idaho Falls School District 91 moves forward with property purchase

Idaho Falls School District 91 held a school board meeting last night to discuss moving forward on purchasing more property.

The new purchase is on East Lincoln Road in Idaho Falls. The district explains that it is part of its ongoing effort to prepare for the future.

D91 also said the intent for property is to consolidate and centralize the operations and grounds department.

“Right now, they’re located in different places around the district, but being able to move them into one centralized location will just allow us to work a little bit more efficiently,” said Margaret Wimborne, a spokesperson for Idaho Falls School District 91.

The district said that this property will free up space at Idaho Falls High School because that is where maintenance and operations are currently based.

D91 is paying for the new property with money from its reserve fund.
