Pocatello police seek 2 suspects in Friday shooting
UPDATE 11:40 a.m.
According to Pocatello Police, officers were called to report of a shooting at 2:21 a.m. Friday. A 55-year-old man had been shot by intruders at his home.
Initial investigation indicates two suspects were attempting to burglarize a nearby business.
Police believe the victim may have observed the crime in progress and that the suspects then forcibly entered the man’s residence. The victim was shot once in the abdomen before the suspects ran away.
There was a minor child in the home at the time.
Police are looking for a Hispanic male who was last seen wearing a blue mask and a hat. His partner was a Caucasian male wearing jeans and an orange and cream-colored shirt or coat.

UPDATE: 9:25 a.m. 11-16
According to a family friend at the house, the shooting victim is James Armstrong. The friend said the man was shot in the chest during an attempted robbery inside the home. She said the victim knew the people involved.
A 13-year-old child was inside the home at the time.
The man was hospitalized, but his condition is still unknown.
Police have not offered any further details.

Pocatello Police are investigating a shooting incident shortly after 2 a.m. Friday.
Police were called to 1242 N. Main Street for report that a 55-year-old man had been shot. His condition is not known at this time.
