Pocatello/Chubbuck School Distrct’s Festival of Trees kicks off at ISU

Wednesday marked the start of the Pocatello/Chubbuck School District 25’s Festival of Trees.

The event, which has been run for the last nine years, has raised over $1 million for the district.

This year, approximately 75 trees are on display with an expected yield in excess of $100,000, according to the district’s public information officer and festival organizer Courtney Fisher.

Wednesday was also Senior Day. Anyone over the age of 65 could enter for free and grab some coffee and cookies while they walked around.

According to Fisher, all of the money raised from bidding on the trees goes directly back into the district, giving students better technology and enhancing the learning experience.

This year’s event runs from Wednesday through Saturday.
