Suspicious powder found at ISU identified

UPDATE 6:15 p.m.: The Pocatello Fire Department reports the suspicious powder has been identified and poses no threat.

The package has been turned over to Pocatello Police for further investigation.

Pocatello Fire Department crews are currently investigating a powder that was found at the Idaho State University Pond Student Union Building.

The Hazardous Materials Team is en route to the scene. The area has been evacuated.

Officials say there is no immediate threat to the public.
