Boy killed when struck by truck in crosswalk

Pleasant Grove police say a 12-year-old boy is dead after being struck by a large truck Monday night.

Police say the boy was in a crosswalk where the truck’s driver apparently didn’t see him as he made a right-hand turn on a red light.

According to police, there’s no indication of impairment and the boy was crossing the street legally and appropriately.

No identities were released and police said no immediate arrest was made.
