Expect traffic delays on Woodruff on Friday

After investigating a leaking water service at the 1400 block of S Woodruff Avenue near the Three Fountains Condominiums, the City of Idaho Falls Water Division will be moving forward with repairing the leak beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 4.

Southbound traffic will be reduced to a single lane occupying the center turn lane through the construction zone.

Officials say you should expect traffic delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

Construction is anticipated to be completed prior to the evening commute.

Water service interruptions will occur along Woodruff Avenue between 12th Street and 16th Street. Barring unforeseen complications, water service should be restored prior to noon. Impacted residences and businesses in the area will be notified prior to any disruption in service.
