CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Justin Thomas could only shake his head in disbelief and chuckle as he watched Jordan Spieth’s chip from the short side of the green roll into the cup, handing the duo its record-tying fourth straight team win this week at the Presidents Cup. The 4-and-3 victory over Hideki Matsuyama and Taylor Pendrith left the duo 4-0 this week as playing partners. It’s the first time that has happened for a U.S. team at the Presidents Cup since Tiger Woods and Steve Stricker in 2009. The duo will have to split up for singles play on Sunday, with the U.S. holding an 11-7 lead entering the 12 singles matches.
