Rexburg elementary school closed due to illness

Burton Elementary Schoolwill be closed on Thursday, Jan. 31and Friday, Feb. 1.

Principal LeFevresaid the closure is due to a large number of students and teachers that are ill.

At this time, 18.6% of students are absent due to illness.

The school will reopen on Monday, Feb. 4.

At this time, administrators at each of the district’s schools are accessing the situation and any other closures will be announced at a school level.
