Toddler beats stage four cancer

More than a thousand thumbs up for sweet Molly Hughes in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

She had the fight of her young life – battling stage four cancer. And the kiddo beat it!

It was just the end of January that she was celebrating the end of five rounds of chemo.

Now celebrating the call that Molly is cancer free.

“Just like fell to the ground after I got off the phone and I just hugged her for like five minutes,” Molly’s mother Chelsea hughes said.

So Molly is trading in 130 nights in a hospital for what every 21-month-old longs for.

Bubbles, tire swings and sunshine.

“She loves being outside. From the time she gets up till she goes to bed she’s just wild playin and just so full of energy and just loves doing what a baby should be doing,” said her mother.

Before this carefree playdate, Molly’s normal was chemo surgery radiation or other intense procedures

“With neuroblastoma so aggressive that they have to treat it that hard.”

From the beginning, the phase Molly’s strong was branded on not only clothing but visibly lived out through this little fighter.

“She would just bounce back after every treatment. I mean she would knock her down for few days and then she would be at playing again.”

That given strength that got her up playing family says was beyond medicine.

“I believe that’s what helped her. Get through all this. With all the prayers she’s heard and which can’t thank everyone enough for. Prayed for her. Supporters us through all of this.”

So for Molly that pitter patter of little feet on the cement echoes the sound of energy proof she’s better.

Passerbyers with see her as a normal toddler, but her story of triumph sets her far apart from many other children.
