New Rigby elementary school named
UPDATE 4/11/19: The community participated in helping name the new elementary school.
At Wednesday night’s meeting, the Board of Trustees adopted the name that received the most community votes: Cottonwood Elementary School.
The school is set to open in the fall of 2020.

Representatives of the Jefferson School District, including a local student, broke ground Monday for a new Rigby Elementary School.
The school will be located at 3955 E. 200 North. A recent building bond issue will finance the project, which should ease crowding at the Middle School.
The new building should open in the fall of 2020.
