Man charged after running from police

The Power County Sheriff’s Office said David Paul Williams, 43, was arrested Tuesday after he attempted to run from officers.

According to deputies, Williams crashed into more than one parked vehicle during the pursuit. He was tased after crashing his vehicle and attempting to run away.

Williams was taken to Portneuf Medical Center to be treated for injuries from the crash. After being cleared there, he will be booked into the Power County Jail.

His vehicle was impounded and will be inventoried after officers obtain a search warrant for it.

Williams was being held on a variety of charges including possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, eluding an officer, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and DUI.
