Republican Sen. John Boozman has won reelection to a third six-year term in the U.S. Senate and now waits to learn what role he will play as control of the Senate is decided. Boozman on Tuesday cruised past Democrat Natalie James, Libertarian Kenneth Cates and two write-in candidates. If Republicans take control of the Senate back from Democrats, Boozman is in line to chair the powerful Senate Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry Committee. He’s introduced legislation that would give the regulatory authority over cryptocurrencies to the Commodities Futures Trading Commission, over which the agriculture committee has authority. Boozman would become the second Arkansas senator to chair the committee.
