Idaho Falls magistrate named 7th District Judge

Magistrate Judge Steven Boyce has been appointed as the next Seventh District Judge.

Governor Brad Little named Boyce to replace Honorable Gregory Moeller of Rexburg, who was appointed to the Idaho Supreme Court.

“Judge Boyce has distinguished himself as a thoughtful and prudent attorney and jurist, committed to the people of southeast Idaho,” Governor Little said. “His continued service to the State of Idaho is thoroughly appreciated.”

Boyce has practiced law in southeast Idaho for 20 years, before being named a magistrate judge in Idaho Falls. He is a graduate of the University of Idaho College of Law.

“I am extremely honored to have been selected by Governor Little for this position,” Boyce said. “I look forward to serving this great region of Idaho and will strive to live up to the expectations placed on me through this appointment.”

The Seventh district includes Bingham, Bonneville, Butte, Clark, Custer, Fremont, Jefferson, Lemhi, Madison and Teton counties.
