Lumber truck spills load near Island Park

A Billings, Montana truck driver escaped unhurt after his 2016 Kenworth semi overturned near Island Park Tuesday night.

Idaho State Police said the load of lumber tipped over on east bound US 20, near milepost 384 south of Island Park, at 6:27 p.m. The vehicle went off the right shoulder of the highway. The semi came to rest on its side as the trailer rolled and spilled its load of lumber.

Robert J. Herbert, 53, was wearing a seat belt and was not seriously injured. The road was not blocked by the accident.
