Gov. Little announces 4-stage plan to reopen Idaho

BOISE, Idaho (KIFI/KIDK) - In an effort to instill ‘certainty’ and ‘confidence’ in Idahoans, Governor Brad Little announced a 4-stage plan to reopen Idaho during a press conference Thursday.

Stage one of the plan would roll out on May 1- May 15th. During this stage places of worship and daycares can reopen. Other businesses like indoor gyms and recreation facilities, restaurant dining rooms, and hair salons, should start developing plans to reopen in stage 2. Bars and nightclubs and large venues will remain closed. Non-essential travel should be minimized following CDC guidelines. 

Stage two of the plan would go from May 16-May 29. During this stage, Restaurant dining rooms, indoor gyms and recreation facilities, and hair salons, can reopen if they are able to meet business protocols. 

Stage three of the plan would go from May 30-June 12. During this stage bars, nightclubs, and large venues will remain closed but develop plans for operating with limited physical distancing protocols in order to open stage 4. Non-essential travel can resume to locations that all it and do not have ongoing transmission. 

The final stage, stage 4 would go from June 13- June 26. During this stage bars, nightclubs and large venues can operate under limited physical distancing protocols. Non-essential travel can continue to locations that allow it to and do not have ongoing transmission. Resume unrestricted staffing of worksites with physical distancing and personal protection and sanitation of workers.
