Board of Education to name next ISU president

POCATELLO, Idaho (KIFI) - The Idaho State Board of Education will hold a special Board meeting on Thursday, Dec. 21, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. Mountain Time to consider a contract and hire the next president of Idaho State University.

The meeting will originate at the ICCU Bengal Alumni Center on the Idaho State University campus in Pocatello and will be carried via livestream in ISU’s YouTube channel.

The special Board Meeting agenda is posted on the State Board of Education’s website.

If the motion is approved, then immediately after the meeting Board Member Cindy Siddoway, who served as co-chair of the Idaho State University president search committee will introduce the new president to the ISU campus community and to the media.

More than 80 people applied to become Idaho State University’s 14th president. The search began shortly after President Kevin Satterlee announced in June that he will retire at the end of the year.
