Toy drive to assist Parents as Teachers participants

POCATELLO, Idaho (KIFI) - Southeastern Idaho Public Health’s Parents as Teachers Program is hosting a toy drive for families in need this holiday season.

Members of the community are encouraged to drop off a new, unwrapped toy at the Pocatello Office located at 1901 Alvin Ricken Drive. Toy donations will be accepted Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. until Dec. 20.

“Many of the clients we serve are already struggling to make ends meet day to day. Our toy drive is just one more way that we can help,” Lead Home Visitor Maria Munoz said.

Parents as Teachers is a free program for families with children zero to five years of age that helps parents understand child development and connects participants with resources they need to make the best choices for their family.
