American Idol Finalist Visits Local News 8
American Idol Season 7 runner-up David Archuleta is preparing for his first concert in more than six months.
However, before his Saturday concert in Rexburg, Archuleta stopped by Local News 8 Thursday for an exclusive interview.
News Anchor Emily Clark interviewed Archuleta on his upcoming book about his life called “David Archuleta; Chords of Strength.”
He will be signing copies of the book Thursday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Rexburg at Deseret Book.
His concert is in the Hart Auditorium at Brigham Young University- Idaho Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Local News 8 held a contest on our website to give away two free tickets to the show. Kenda Nielsen of Shelley was the lucky winner.
Fans gathered at the station hoping to catch a glimpse of the star. Before leaving the station Archuleta signed autographs and took pictures with fans.
