POW-MIA Holds Motorcycle Rodeo

Cowboy hats and western shirts switched for bandanas and black leather at this weekend’s motorcycle rodeo.

The POW-MIA puts on the motorcycle rodeo each year as part of it’s awareness rally at the Bannock County Fairgrounds.

Motorcyclists started up the rodeo competition just after noon Saturday with events like Serve Em’ Ups, where pairs have to ride a course carrying a pitcher of water in one handed, trying not to spill a drop.

Organizers said if you like a normal cowboy rodeo, you’ll love a motorcycle rodeo. It’s just riding a different kind of animal.

?You know what, this is just like a livestock rodeo except these guys are riding iron,? Motorcycle Rodeo organizer Jennifer Bowen said.

The POW-MIA Awareness Rally finishes up Sunday with the Kids Rodeo Run at 11 a.m.
