Pocatello Clinic Patient Info Left Unsecured

Pocatello Family Medicine said it is notifying its patients that some computerized information ?could have? been accessed by unauthorized people.

The clinic said it stored certain files on a server owned and operated by Idaho State University. In August 2010, the firewall protecting the ISU server was taken down for maintenance but was never reactivated, according to PFM.

?There is no evidence any information was accessed by any individual or entity,? PFM said.

The firewall for the server that contained the PFM data is fully functional again, the company said.
