3 Arrested After Idaho Falls ‘Car Hopping’

Idaho Falls police arrested three men Tuesday morning after police said they burglarized cars.

A man who lives in the 1600 block of Charlene Street called police to report three unknown people breaking into his girlfriend?s car, police said.

Officers were at first unable to find the people, but were ultimately able to identify them as Daniel Carlton Grimes, 18, Corey Lynn Spears, 20, and Tyler J. Baldwin, 18, all of Idaho Falls.

Police said the three were “car hopping,” which is walking down streets and looking for unlocked cars. All three are facing burglary charges.
