Fire Destroys Kitchen In Idaho Falls
Nobody was home when a kitchen caught fire in a home on Poulson Street in Idaho Falls on Wednesday night, according to the fire department.
Firefighters found the kitchen fully engulfed in flames when they responded just before 8 p.m.
A neighbor noticed the smoke and called 911. The owners were not home and told Fire Chief Jon Walker they hadn’t cooked dinner at home Wednesday.
Fire damage was contained to the kitchen, but smoke damaged most of the house. The damage is estimated to be about $35,000.
A fire investigator is trying to figure out the cause.
