Idaho Falls Police Imposter Gets 2 Years In Jail

An Idaho Falls man pleaded guilty Monday to several charges including impersonating a police officer.

Bonneville County Prosecutor Bruce Pickett said Damian Bird, 18, will spend two to 10 years in jail for impersonating a cop, kidnapping and aggravated assault.

Bird was arrested in March after he pulled a man over and put a gun in his face, according to police. He also pulled a teen driving home from work over claiming to a police officer and scammed the teen into emptying his bank account.

Pickett said Bird has a history of impersonating a police officer.
