Police Say Woman Tried To Enter Courthouse With Meth

An Idaho Falls woman was arrested on a charge of felony possession of a controlled substance after she attempted to flee from courthouse security when she was found with methamphetamine, Idaho Falls police said.

According to the police, Donna R. Ludwig, 41, was going through the security screening at the Bonneville County Courthouse around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday when the scanner indicated something in her pocket. Ludwig had a container with methamphetamine, police said.

A news release stated Ludwig fled from security and officers, refusing to stop, and she was eventually caught a short distance from the courthouse on D Street.

Ludwig was also arrested on a charge of resisting and obstructing a peace officer.
