Dump Hunger Food Drive Begins

Just because the holidays are over doesn’t mean it’s not the season for giving.

Western States Caterpillar kicks of the Dump Hunger food drive today.

Albertsons supermarkets and Wells-Fargo banking centers all over eastern Idaho are accepting food donations.

The goal is to fill the beds of dump trucks with food for local food banks.

“They’ll take anything,” said Seth Wallman, a grocery manager at the Albertsons in Idaho Falls. “The food bank is well under-supplied this season, so we’re just trying to help them out a little bit extra.”

The campaign ultimately hopes to collect 300,000 pounds of food this year.
