Salmon Woman Wins $100,000 In Idaho Lottery

Leora Holland of Salmon won $100,000 from the Idaho Lottery.

According to a news release, Holland was looking to do something to lift her spirits Wednesday. Holland, an infrequent lottery player who hardly ever buys anything more than a $1 Scratch Game ticket, decided to play a $10 Extreme Green Idaho Lottery Scratch Ticket.

?I decided to treat myself to something a little more fun,? said Holland who works in accounts payable for Salmon School District. ?At first I thought I?d only won $100. Then I realized it was $100,000. It?s too good to be true.?

Holland said she still didn?t believe it was a big winner until she had the ticket validated at the Idaho Lottery offices in Boise. She said she plans to pay down some bills and invest the remaining amount with her winnings.

For its part in selling the winning ticket, the Corner Store in Salmon will receive $10,000 from the Idaho Lottery.
