Ali And Christina: What They’re Doing Now

Ali and Christina Christensen gained national attention by wowing the judges on America’s Got Talent and placing in the top 10 best contestants in 2010.

Now the Idaho Falls vocal duo is back home and gearing up to make a big release.

Reporter Jessica Crandall sat down with the talented sisters to talk about the music and what the future may hold for them.

They said going on a reality show was a huge boost to their career, and now Ali and Christina are looking to ride that wave of popularity by releasing a new 5-song EP on Valentine’s Day.

At only 13 and 20 years old, they put eastern Idaho in the spotlight and stole the hearts of thousands of Americans with their sister act.

“I love these girls. They’re truly talented. Singing live in front of America is a lot of pressure,” said talent judge Sharon Osbourne.

Ali and Christina’s talent is made even more impressive by the fact that both girls were born with cystic fibrosis, a severe and sometimes deadly lung disease.

Crandall caught up with the girls in their Idaho Falls home this week. They said they’ve been keeping busy and performing every month.

“It’s kind of hard to have a life but I’m actually just living at home and doing what I love to do,” said Ali.

Christina is now a sophomore in high school and Ali has taken a break from Brigham Young University Idaho to promote their new songs, which the girls co-wrote.

“We worked with producers out of Nashville. We’re so excited for everyone to hear it,” said Ali.

The EP includes songs like “Love Is Gonna Find You,” already posted on YouTube.

The sisters describe their recording style as motivational and fun.

“It’s kind of like Taylor Swift but more pop,” said Christina.

“All of the songs have a really good message. That’s really what we’re all about is sharing a good message and being a good example and role model to other people,” said Ali.

The Christensen sisters filmed a music video for their single “The Same Way,” in Idaho Falls two months ago.

Unfortunately, we couldn’t show any clips of it until the song is officially released, but Ali said it should be out in the next month or two.

The sisters have a new website if you’d like to keep track of their up-and-coming careers. Just click this link.
