Warm Weather In Wyo. Could Cause Ice Jam Flooding
There’s a chance for flooding in Wyoming because of warm weather that’s expected to break up icy rivers.
The National Weather Service in Riverton says there’s an increased potential for minor flooding below 8,000 feet through midweek. Ice broken free from rivers could cause flooding if they get jammed in sharp turns or bends.
Temperatures could reach into the 60s in eastern Wyoming and near 50 in west of the Continental Divide.
