Dubois Deals With Flooding

Several homes were threatened by flood water Saturday morning in Dubois when ice jammed in Beavercreek, said the Clark County sheriff.

Sheriff Bart May said the water started rising at about 8 a.m.

Emergency crews began working on clearing the jam with backhoes and numerous volunteers began sandbagging homes, he said.

The sheriff said a couple homes may have gotten water in their basement, but because of the quick response he didn?t believe there was any real damage done to the homes.

He said by 6 p.m. all workers were able to get most of the ice jams free and water was flowing with minimal flooding.
