Rexburg Police Investigate Possible Arson
Rexburg police are investigating a fire that damaged a single-wide trailer home in Rexburg on Monday night. Police said they believe two boys, both under the age of 10, intentionally tried to start several fires inside the trailer.
A Madison County deputy was first on the scene and tried to fight the flames until the Rexburg Fire Department arrived. The trailer has significant smoke and fire damage.
No one was hurt, but American Red Cross volunteers helped one occupant, who was not home at the time of the incident. Agency spokesperson Barbara Fawcett says case workers provided the man with an overnight stay at a local motel.
