Police: Rigby Man Destroys Property, Throws Piston In Fight
A Rigby man was arrested Thursday night on charges of aggravated assault, felony malicious injury to property and felony driving under the influence after a fight in Idaho Falls.
Shortly after 9 p.m., police responded to a home on the 200 block of Colonial Way regarding a disturbance in progress. When police arrived, witnesses said that Kenneth Rey Blakely, 30, and another man had gotten into a fight.
The man said the fight occurred because Blakely was drunk and that Blakely was acting loud and belligerent, even throwing a piston at him. Police said Blakely eventually got into his 1991 Subaru Legacy and rammed it into the man?s 2011 Ford F-350 pickup, causing $6,000 in damage.
Police said Blakely also caused $500 damage to a 2006 Mazda MZ6 parked next to the truck.
Blakely drove away before police arrived, but was stopped and arrested at the intersection of Nathan and Stone Run.
He was booked into the Bonneville County Jail.
