Pocatello “Take Back” Successful

The Pocatello Police Department reports it has taken about 59 pounds of unwanted prescription drugs off the street. As part of the city’s Environmental Fair Saturday, Police operated a free “take-back” program. Police invited residents to bring in unwanted or outdated prescription medications for safe disposal.

Department spokesperson Diane Brush says the take back will help keep the medication out of the hands of drug abusers and out of the community’s water system.
