Crash Leads To Suspected Car Thief

An apparently bad decision and some bad luck have landed a 23 year old Pocatello man in jail. Pocatello Police say they were called to the Pit Stop Thursday night to investigate reports of a stolen vehicle. While they were there, dispatchers reported a rollover accident involving the stolen vehicle near Center and 19th.

Witnesses watched the driver, whose description matched that of the Pit Stop theft, flee the scene. Police quickly located the suspect, identified as Tyler Blair in the area. They say he was later identified through surveillance video at the convenience store.

Blair was being held Friday morning on charges of Grand Theft.
