Legislative primary results change

Discovery of a primary election night error in preliminary results has changed the outcome in one legislative district.

Initially shown as the loser in the District 32A democratic primary, Bob Fitzgerald of Tetonia has now been declared the 10-vote winner over Rich Bergman. The final official tally was 332 for Fitzgerald to 322 for Bergman.

Fitzgerald will face incumbent Republican Rep. Marc Gibbs in the November general election.

Teton County Clerk Mary Lou Hansen said the confusion was due to a typographical error in reporting unofficial results from precinct ballots election night.
