Ashton to be Capital For A Day

The city of Ashton will play host as Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter’s brings his “Capital For A Day” program to eastern Idaho Thursday. Otter will be joined by a number of cabinet members and other state office holders for discussion of issues with local constituents from 9 am to 3 pm at the Ashton Community Center.

Those expected to participate include Lieutenant Governor Brad Little, Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Luna, Department of Agriculture Director Celia Gould; Colonel Jerry Russell, director of the Idaho State Police; Department of Parks and Recreation Director Nancy Merrill, Department of Correction Director Brent Reinke, and Department of Juvenile Corrections Director Sharon Harrigfeld. Also on hand will be senior representatives from the Department of Fish and Game, Department of Health and Welfare, Department of Commerce, Idaho Transportation Department, and the Department of Labor.
