How to deal with conflict

Kids get bored during the summer and this can lead to poor decision making. The Idaho Falls Police Department is sharing tips to help parents manage these conflicts.
Officer John Cowley has some good ideas.

“Raising children is being able to communicate with them and being able to sit down and talk with them and teach them how to deal with conflict and how to not act in a violent or aggressive manner. A parent definitely needs to know where they’re kids are and what they’re doing at all times because in the end, the parents are responsible for the action of those kids.” said Cowley.
