A 100-acre wildfire is burning on state land seven miles northeast of Dubois. The cause of the “A2 Fire” is unknown at this time.

The Eastern Idaho Interagency Fire Center says four light engines responded to the fire. Firefighters also requested two single engine air tankers, a dozer and water tanker.

As of Thursday, the fire center has handled 22 wildland fires. Sixteen were human-caused.
